Colombia's national cycling team has become a laughing stock with its new skin-toned uniforms. Designers of the female squad's new garb bizarrely decided to use nude-colored cloth around the groin area. The new uniform was spotted being worn by the team at last weekend's Giro Toscana in Italy. It soon went viral, reports 9MSN. Skip to content.

Welcome to Reddit,
A women's cycling team from Colombia has defended their flesh-coloured uniform after causing a stir on social media and attracting criticism from the International Cycling Union UCI president. The otherwise conservative kit features a large patch of flesh coloured cloth across the women's lower torsos and groins, giving the impression of a cut-out revealing bare flesh. After the pictures of the team in their "naked" uniform went viral, the president of the UCI, Brian Cookson, tweeted that the outfits were "unacceptable by any standards of decency". The cycling body later said in a statement that it would be investigating matter: "The UCI will be sending a letter to the Colombian federation reminding them of their responsibility … in the control of regional and club team kits that compete in international events. In response, Angie Rojas, a member of the team who also designed the kit, told a press conference in Bogota, "I've already said that I designed the uniform and as an athlete, as a woman, as the cyclist that I am, I wouldn't be ashamed with this kind of design.

The Colombian women's cycling team got international attention on the weekend—but probably not for the reasons they were hoping for. Naturally, people aired their views about the uniform on social media because nothing is more scary than a bare vagina:. I'm no fashion expert but even I know that the Colombia women's cycling team kit seen here is a genuine disaster pic. Ma che divisa xe questa? E un poco de rispetto par le donne no? It's important to note that the uniform's colours aren't just arbitrary.
Women in military uniforms, dog tags, military scenarios, military vehicles, guns, camo gear or clothing, all of these count as good to go! If you are wondering if it is ok to post something then just let me know and I can give you a verdict. The reason being that we do not want to put these women in uniform in any danger by sharing, granted they knew the risks when they took the pictures we have a duty to attempt to make sure they can share another day.
